Ruhnu churchyard
Ruhnu churchyard is situated in the surroundings of Ruhnu new and old church, it has an area of approximately 1 hectare. The landscape relief is uneven, descending from four directions from the churches located on the natural hills formed of former dunes. A rubble stone's draping surrounds the churchyard. The church buildings are located in the north-western corner of the churchyard. In front of the new church, there is a splint gate on the west side of the churchyard, its gateposts are spalted from logs. From the wooden church to the southwest, there is a gate with a wooden roof.
The churchyard has been used as a cemetery, where during the centuries local people have been buried. Wooden crosses with roofs (triangular crosses), characteristic to Sweden, dominate there. There are also grave markers from granite, stone and cast iron in the churchyard. Later burials are located on the east side of the yard.
Ruhnu ministers Gustav Magnus Elephandt (minister 1807–19) and Adolph Friedrich Dreyer (minister 1871–92) are buried in the churchyard.
