Runö (ship)
Runö, catamaran type passenger ferry.
The passengers cabin features 60 seats, toilets, a small bar and large luggage racks in corridor. Runö also features a small cargo deck aft that can carry two passenger vehicles (up to 6.5m), a mini-van or deck cargo. These are loaded onto the vessel over the hydraulically-operated stern visor.
Runö is powered by a pair of Volvo D16MH R2 main engines, each producing 751hp. It will have a cruise speed of 22 knots and achieved a top speed on trials of 25 knots.
The vessel was built by Baltic Workboats in Estonia. Since 2012 Runö is operated by Saaremaa Laevakompanii's subsidiary Väinamere Liinid OÜ in the Gulf of Riga, Estonia, between the mainland port of Parnu and the islands of Runhu and Saaremaa.
